Journal: Is there ever a time for war?

In Class: Today you broke into groups and read a children's book discussing war---- you thought about authors purpose, perspective/bias and ultimately re-thought the journal question. You then presented poster to the class! If you were absent, you will need to come in during intervention to read a book and fill out the worksheet!

Homework: Read chapters 18-19 Parallel Journeys!

Grades are complete as of Friday March 18 @ 2:28 pm---- This term has been awesome! Keep going strong and lets make it a great last term together!

Journal: What do you know about Pearl Harbor?

In Class: Today we took notes on section 16.4 (pages 6-8).  We also started 'Story of Us: WWII' watching section 1 about Pearl Harbor.  We also went over the reading logs.  KEEP UP ON READINGS!

Homework: Be ready with your March Madness character for next class! Tournament starts! Have readings done for next class as well :)

Journal #2: Tell me everything that you know about Germany during WWII

In Class: Today we reviewed the dictators! We also filled out section 2 of your notes---

KEY TERMS/EVENTS: Union with Austria, Sudentenland, Munich Agreement, Appeasement, Non-agression pact, blitzkrieg, phony war, battle of Britain

We also reviewed 'Parallel Journeys' chapter 2&3 and read chapter 4 in class! Make sure that you are keeping up with your readings so that you can participate in class :)

Homework: Chapters 5&6 of Parallel Journeys & keep thinking about your March Madness character! You will need to have one picked by the end of this week!

In Class: Today we started our new unit WWII!!!! We did section 1 of your notes learning about the different dictators and their rises to power in Europe and your Learning Target for Day 1 :) You also received a copy of 'Parallel Journeys' we read chapter 1 in class---
