PROJECT INSTRUCTIONS

1. PROJECT:

Each student will re-create/create 3 photos from the Great Depression. This is NOT a group activity.

2. OPTIONS

•  Mimic/re-create a photo from the Great Depression or Dust Bowl

•  Create a modern version of a Great Depression picture

•  Create your own Great Depression or Dust Bowl pictures using inspiration from old photos from this time period

3. REQUIREMENTS:

•Written explanation for each photo

•Bring to class on Wednesday, Feb 19th (even) or Thursday, Feb 20th (odd)

•Be in at least 1 of the pictures yourself

4. IDEAS:

•Google Great Depression or Dust Bowl pictures for ideas

•Look at Dorothea Lange pictures online

•Make them blank and white

•Include children

In Class: Today was a review/catch-up day- you worked on your 1920's review (it was due at the end of class) and made sure that your packets are ready to be turned in next class! If you were absent, you may come and pick up a review from me on Thursday.

Homework: Packets done--- Test is next class :) Do your best to be here on time otherwise you will be taking your test in the testing center
