In Class: Today we had our socratic seminar on 'How can I call this my home?" If you didn't turn in your reading with comments, annotations and questions make sure that you get that to me ASAP!

Homework: Make sure your packets and socratic readings are turned in! If you missed the quiz, it is located in the testing center :)

In Class: Today was 'WELCOME TO ELLIS ISLAND' day! You gave your presentations and did an amazing job :) I hope that you were able to learn more about your heritage as well as from your classmates linking early and modern immigration!

In Class: Today we laid the foundation for immigration- we focused on early American immigration answering the WHO, WHEN, WHERE, WHY of early immigration.  You took notes and answered the learning target for day 1 & day 3 :)

In Class: Today we started our next unit! Unit 3: Immigration/Urbanization--- Today we learned about the term 'Gilded Age' and took some notes.  If you were absent, you an access the PowerPoint under the Unit 3 PowerPoint tab :)

I also introduced your project for term 3--- instructions are on the yellow page in your packet OR you can print them off using on the right hand side of this page under immigration project and will be due

In Class: Today we finished up your Unit 2 packets looking at the Homestead Strike (pink, yellow blue pages) Use the documents on the yellow sheet to answer the blue sheet.

This is the last item on this terms grades.
