Journal:  Imagine if…You are in charge of a large factory. Your factory building has recently been bombed by a competitors factory and many of your employees have been killed. You have been asked to address the people of the town and those who have lost loved ones in the disaster.

In Class: Today in class we worked on your note packet (section 3 pages 4-5 on pink pages) 

Activity: We did the blue worksheet in your packet 'Interactive Civil War Activity' to complete this you will need to go online to:  http://www.history.com/civil-war-150#home

Homework: Make sure your LT guide is caught up through Day 5 :)

Today in class we did our amputation! If you missed it.... you missed out :(

We also did the purple page in our packet looking at Civil War pictures (if you were absent come see me during Intervention to finish this!

Journal: Was Abraham Lincoln a racist?

In Class: Today we finished 'The Story of Us: Division' notes.  We also went through and completed section 2 of your note packet.  For the remainder of class we analyzed the Gettysburg Address and the Emancipation Proclamation and filled out the light yellow page in your packet!!!(if you were absent come see me for these documents)

Homework: LT guide day 2&3..... you can get started on your Instagram project also :)

Journal: Tell me everything you know about the Civil War

In Class: Today we finished section 1 of your guided notes,  #18,19,20 in section 2 of your notes.  Use the PowerPoint to fill this out if you weren't here!

We also watched the Story of Us: Division (green sheet) sections 4 & 5.

Project: I handed out your project for this term- the Instagram assignment, if you were absent come grab one from me.  It is due Nov 6/9. There needs to be 4 posts (4 pictures, and 3 hashtags for each picture).

Homework: Make sure that your learning target guide is filled for day 1 and #1 of day 2.

You should have your new packet "Civil War" 

We started class by watching sections 2&3 in the Story of Us (green sheet).  We started your notes- section 1 #1-6 on page 1 of the pink packet.  For the rest of class we did the Underground Rail Road activity!

Today we turned your packets in, and took the Unit 3 Quiz.... if you were absent you will need to come in during Intervention on either Tuesday or Wednesday this week to make it up!!!!

The end of the term is coming FAST---- all work is due by October 21st at 2:15 PM period. No exceptions. 

October 8/9

You had a sub today! Your packet should be filled out all the way and ready to turn in and take the quiz on Monday/Tuesday this week!!!

Homework: Make sure that your learning target guide is filled out through day 3!!! Also get started on your collage--- last white page in your packet :) Everything is due on Monday/Tuesday of next week
