Jan 29/30

Journal: What would be the hardest thing for you to sacrifice? Why?

In class: We talked about rationing and filled out the peach sheet in your packet. If you were absent fill out the peach sheet activities and a description for each hour (in your day personally) fill out all of the activities and descriptions.
Some situations have come up that you will need to ration for: In the ration column make adjustments for the following scenarios:
1. You have lost electricity for the entire day
2. Your car has broken down
3. The price of food has been raised
Once you have made the adjustments, fill out the post-activity questions on the front page.
*We also started watching the movie "All quiet on the Western Front"

Sorry kiddos the schedule has been a little hectic this week due to CCR's... thanks for your patience!

Journal: What do you think would bring the United States into another World War? What would happen in that type of war now?


*2nd period on Thursday, we did the Trench War simulation and filled out #7-8 in your packets on Monday we did what is below

In class: We finished section 1 of your notes (#9-18) Use the PowerPoint.  We also looked at Primary Source Documents about Trench Warfare, filling out the blue page in your packet 'analyzing' documents.  If you were absent, you will need to come in during intervention to get a Primary Source to analyze.

January 14/15

Today in class we:

Started WW1 Unit!!!!

We talked about the spark in Europe that ignited the War- in your packets (pink pages) you we filled out Section 1 #1-6- Use the PowerPoint to help you.

We also did a class simulation on alliances in WW1 :)

HOMEWORK: Complete the map in your packet (white paper) you will need to color in the Triple Entente and the Triple Alliance. Use different colors!

Term 2 is over........ WE SURVIVED A WHOLE SEMESTER TOGETHER :)

Today in class we finished up Unit 8,9,10 Packet (we did chapter 10 notes today) 

We talked about Imperialism and the Spanish American War
